Guevara's goals pace East past West

Amado Guevera scored twice (56K|384K) in the first half of the 2004 Sierra Mist MLS All-Star Game on Saturday at RFK Stadium, leading the East to a 3-2 victory over the Western Conference. Guevara was named MVP for his performance on a day which opened with a 2-2 Celebration Game draw.

MLS postponed the planned trip to Madrid to take on Spanish power Real Madrid for the 25th annual Santiago Bernabeu Trophy -- traditionally the final international event on Real Madrid's calendar prior to the start of their domestic campaign. The league will keep the possibility open of participating in the event in the future.
