Good Sport Program
D.C. United has once again partnered with Anheuser-Busch, Capital Eagle, the DC Sports & Entertainment Commission, Busch Gardens and Ovations to implement the Good Sport Program, which runs at every D.C. United home game.
Good Sport:
- Encourages fans to act responsibly and to respect the rights of others while in attendance at RFK Stadium
- Is a pledge to our fans that D.C. United intends to maintain the wholesome family atmosphere that they have come to expect and appreciate
- Focuses on communicating a series of messages to spectators that prompt attitude change and remind spectators of the importance of responsible behavior
Fans can support the Good Sport Program by signing up on game day to be designated drivers.
As a thank you from the program's sponsors, each Good Sport Designated Driver receives:
- A coupon for a complimentary soda
- One entry into the "Good Sport Designated Driver of the Game" drawing, to win a Good Sport prize pack that includes a D.C. United team autographed item.
Fans can support the Good Sport Program by signing up on game day to be designated drivers. The Good Sport Program booth is located just inside the concourse of Gate A. Fans may sign up when gates open, an hour and a half prior to the game's start, and closes 30 minutes into the first half.
The winner will be announced over the public address system by the 70th minute. The "Good Sport Designated Driver of the Game" can pick up his or her prize pack at the Guest Services booth located on the concourse behind Section 308.
PARTNERSHIP WITH TEAM COALITION
TEAM Coalition (Techniques for Effective Alcohol Management) has again partnered with D.C. United to add a MLS Cup sweepstakes component to the Good Sport Program.
All fans who register for the Good Sport Program at any regular season D.C. United home game will receive automatic entry into the "Responsibility Has Its Rewards" sweepstakes with the opportunity to win tickets to the 2007 MLS Cup Championship game at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C., should D.C. United advance to the final game. If United does not make the final, the winning fan would receive tickets to the 2008 All-Star game, which will be held at a yet-to-be determined MLS site.
