Amway Global is now the official sponsor of the Kicks for Kids program that focuses on fitness and healthy lifestyles, as well as bringing underprivileged children to Earthquakes games. Through the program, Earthquakes players will visit 15 schools or community centers in the Bay Area to discuss the importance of being active and living a healthy lifestyle. At each event, the player will also distribute tickets and replica jersey shirts to 150 children per school.
The Verizon Wireless Adopt-A-Team program is a program created by both the San Jose Earthquakes and Verizon Wireless to reach out to Bay Area youth soccer teams. This year, 16 local teams will be adopted by an Earthquakes Soccer player. The player will stand in as the celebrity coach and mentor for the team, and participate in at least one practice or game for their adopted team.
During the year San Jose Earthquakes players and coaches will be making appearances throughout the Bay Area. Each appearance allows the Earthquakes to generate a positive impact in the community and support a great number of organizations, which in turn helps those in need.
Request Guidelines
- Players cannot be exposed to injury risk.
- Complete the request form a minimum of five weeks prior to the specified event.
- Provide clear typed directions to event from Buck Shaw Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
- The time allotted for each appearance is no more than 90 minutes.
- A clearly defined role for the player/coach/mascot at the event.
- At least one contact that will stay with player/coach/mascot at the event.
Please Remember
- Please keep the Earthquakes schedule in mind when deciding a date for an appearance. Game days, days before games and travel days may conflict with your desired appearance date.
- We cannot predict fluctuations in practice schedule. As a result, the event should not focus on player or coach participation in the event.
- We will not accept player/coach participation in career days.
Note: There is a $250 donation to the San Jose Earthquakes Community Fund for most appearances. The Earthquakes will only consider 501(c)(3) organizations for complimentary appearances. Make sure you fill out the Player/Coach Form. Payments will be requested once appearance has been approved.

The San Jose Earthquakes charitable foundation will display your message for a $50 donation to the San Jose Earthquakes Community Fund.
Guidelines
- Complete the request form and mail it including your payment information to the San Jose Earthquakes office at least seven (7) business days prior to the specified game.
- Your message must be 30 characters or less including spaces and punctuation.
- We will only process requests once full payment has been received. You will then receive a confirmation message.
- The San Jose Earthquakes maintain complete editorial control over the content of all messages and reserve the right to refuse any request.
Make sure you fill out the "Name in Lights" Request Form. Checks can be made out to the San Jose Earthquakes Community Fund.
