// MISSION STATEMENT
The TFC Academy is unified in the goal of providing the most talented, committed and dedicated soccer players in the country an opportunity to receive advanced coaching instruction within the TFC Academy. The Academy will provide those players an identified path of growth that ideally leads them to the Toronto FC Reserves and eventually the First Team. The Academy program is also unified in the continuous education of our coaches and players to maintain a high level of current knowledge and never losing sight of good character, judgment, honesty and fair play.

The Technical Department of the TFC Academy currently operates under a development strategy with two focuses for player development:

  1. Individual Player Development
  2. Development of Youth Teams for domestic and international activities
With that in mind, the thought process of the Academy is such that we look to the future of Toronto FC and prepare our players properly. Therefore, long term planning is of the essence. The programs at the TFC Academy will serve three main purposes:
  • To establish a process by which we produce stability and continuity in the development of players for Toronto FC.
  • To provide a formative, structured path along which young players can move from the Academy to a full-time professional environment.
  • To produce players who are comfortable with and understand what is required of them to perform successfully at the highest level.
