// FOUNDATION FOR MOTIVATION
At the forefront of the program will be the Academy’s “Foundation for Motivation” that promises to deliver the following message to players and coaches:
As a part of the TFC Academy, I will strive...
- To possess the ability to accomplish my goals and to achieve results.
- To be acknowledged.
- To participate and show creativity.
- To take responsibility.
- To grow and develop.
- To achieve a better understanding through gaining knowledge and insight.
- To accept challenges.
- To have the ability to master success & achieve satisfaction.
All of this will of course be different from player to player and will take time to develop.
The Academy program will follow a basic plan and the plan is based on the following objectives:
- To identify needs of players based on local, National and International activities, while considering the following:
- Technical and Tactical aspects.
- Psychological and Physiological aspects.
- Intellectual and Social aspects.
- To reach a high level of consistency in the delivery, monitoring and development of the above factors.
- To develop methods of evaluation, monitoring and development that will aid in the scouting and selection procedures. This will be achieved through regular scouting.
- To establish a database of the players and to educate the players to understand what is expected of them.
- To create a regular high level of competition for the players.
- To identify and select a Technical Staff that will carry out selection, monitoring and development of the players within the Academy.
- To identify a group of Technical Support Staff. This staff will cover:
- Diet, Psychological, Physiological and Medical aspects.
Following this, an individual team must have objectives but the Academy program will establish a basic guide for the participants, whether it is for players, coaches or parents. The objectives of CAMPS, LEAGUE GAMES, TOURS, and COMPETITIVE EVENTS & TEAMWORK will all differ somewhat but will always be presented with the development of the player in mind.
